A shooter of flowers, spirits, and mystery 🌺
Get ready, because Riot is coming with something totally different. Yunara, the next League of Legends champion, is not just here to shake up the bot lane — she’s here to break everyone's expectations. Why? Because we all thought she’d be a charming support, with flowers, mystic lights, and a chill vibe… and surprise: she’s a spiritual ADC.
Her official launch will be on July 16, 2025 with patch 25.14, during the second act of the Spirit Blossom event. And as if that weren’t enough, she’ll be available for free through a special mission! Just like Mel Medarda. So if you’re thinking of switching mains, or just curious about what this new champ brings, it’s time to get hyped.

What do we know about Yunara?
First things first: Yunara is from Ionia, she’s connected to the Spirit Realm and visually, she’s stunning. She has that ethereal style that reminds us of Spirit Blossom skins, with purple eyes, floating lanterns, and an aesthetic straight out of a Studio Ghibli movie.
But her story isn’t just “oh, she’s pretty.” According to leaked lore, Yunara was once an ordinary human who accidentally got trapped in the Spirit Realm. She’s been stuck there for years until, during the Spirit Blossom festival — when the veil between worlds gets thinner — a familiar face appears: Xin Zhao. Yep, him. He returns to Ionia after Jarvan III’s death and meets Yunara through what seems to be pure fate. Everything points to a mentor-student relationship that could become key in the game’s narrative.
What will her kit look like? 🧠
Although Riot hasn’t revealed Yunara’s full kit yet (of course — gotta keep the hype alive), we already have plenty of clues to imagine her on the Rift:
-
Magic lanterns: These show up in multiple animations, and could work as traps, totems, or area abilities.
-
Spiritual flowers: Very Lillia-style, so there’s a chance we’ll see some kind of sleep effect or unusual crowd control for an ADC.
-
Nature and spirituality: Her attacks might combine ranged damage with unique effects like healing, slowing, or even temporary invisibility (pure speculation, but let us dream!).
The best part? Everything suggests she’ll be a utility-heavy ADC. So if you like classic ADCs like Jhin or Varus but with mystical mechanics, Yunara might be your new obsession.
What does Yunara mean for the meta?
Look, since Smolder launched in January 2024, Riot hasn’t released another new ADC. Yunara is here to freshen up a lane that often feels dominated by the same old picks (hi Caitlyn, yes — you again).
She’s arriving right in the middle of the second thematic season of 2025, and Riot clearly wants to shake up ranked games before the competitive scene heats up. If they pull it off, Yunara might become a must-pick or ban in bot.
Plus, the fact that she’s free with a mission is a brilliant strategy. It means everyone is going to try her out, which will bring chaos, memes, flame wars… and a lot of fun. Let’s be honest: new champs always feel OP (and if they’re not, they *feel* OP just because no one knows what they do).

How does she connect to the Spirit Blossom event?
Yunara isn’t coming alone. She’s arriving alongside the Spirit Blossom event in its second season. Ashe, Irelia, Bard, Varus, and Zyra are also getting thematic skins — so we know where this is going: Ionia takes center stage while the Noxus drama takes a backseat.
Yunara’s visual design fits perfectly with this skin line, and even though it hasn’t been confirmed whether she’ll get a special skin right away, we all know Riot can’t resist dropping an epic skin in the very first patch. So better start saving your Essence.
Why does this matter?
Every new champion doesn’t just bring new mechanics — they bring a new piece of LoL’s universe. Yunara, with her Spirit Realm connection, her relationship with Xin Zhao, and her role in the second thematic season, is more than “just another ADC”. She’s a narrative piece, a shift in the meta, and for many players, a whole new way to express themselves in the game.
Ready to welcome Yunara? Because she’s ready to bloom… and maybe score a pentakill along the way.
